The image above depicts our love triangle within ourselves, and when our mind, emotions and body are all in sync we can claim to be balanced. It is very seldom, if ever, possible for us as humans to achieve this, but occasionally we get pretty close. There are so many subtle nuances to consider, and the further down the rabbit hole we go the more complex it becomes.
For our mind to be balanced we need to consider the conscious mind, the sub-conscious mind and even the super-conscious mind. For our body to be balanced we need to consider nutrition, exercise, sleep, rest and play. And for our emotions to be balanced we need to consider external and internal factors, and this list of factors is lengthy. And the minute we start focusing too much energy on one particular aspect we are no longer balanced.
I can speak from experience because for a long time I have focused on my mind and body, and neglected my emotions. This caused my emotions to start exploding, and it started happening on a regular basis. The explosions have stopped and I now have to teach myself how to feel some of the emotions I blocked, and figure out why I blocked them in the first place.
There is no magic formula to being balanced, and the harder we try the tougher it becomes. We are all different, we all experience life differently, that’s what makes life fun. We are the center of our love triangle, we determine how much love we give ourselves. We should give ourselves more than we need so it can overflow and be shared.
